The Don’t Panic Gang! Mark Sperring Sarah Warburton Bloomsbury Children’s Books Age 3+
Superheroes Save the World!
Fantastic fun this vibrant picture book immediately engaged my two boys in a fast paced funny story about a gang of unlikely superhero animals!
Meet Sumo Cat, Ninja Bird and Kung-Fu Worm as they brave the unknown in an action packed adventure! Located next to Joe’s Doughy Doughnut Shop the Superhero Squad headquarters are available for all your superhero requirements except, they don’t like to advertise it!
In this comic book style story we watch the brave trio answer the call of a panicked caller needing help. You would be mistaken if you think the human in the book is scared of the spider in the bathtub when in actual fact it is the spider that has rang for assistance!
This clever twist introduces us to a very grateful spider who is saved from the bathtub of a crazy newspaper wielding human. All thanks to the bravery of a slightly over weight, doughnut eating cat, a sweet bird and a wiggly worm. And with that we also meet the newest recruit to the Superhero Squad; Super Spider Web Warrior Queen!
Into the Wild Robert Vescio Mel Armstrong New Frontier Publishing Age 3+
For the little explorers out there this is a story for you. Meet Roman a curious little boy who loves nature and just can’t get enough of everything the great outdoors has to offer him. Climbing trees, catching creatures in his net and examining them through a magnifying glass, Roman can often be found gazing through his binoculars and recording his journeys in a notebook.
But he is yet to find the one thing he longs for the most; a special friend to share his discoveries with. This heartwarming book follows Roman on his journey to find a companion and you even get to spot a special ladybird on every page.

There is even a summary of which activities are more suited to walks, parties and rainy days to help you decide on a suitable task.
The Great Big Egg Hunt Ekaterina Trukhan Nosy Crow
A beautiful lift the flap board book for little hands this Easter. Can your little one not wait until Sunday to hunt for eggs? Then this will keep them busy until the big day! Help Rabbit to find the eggs in his bathroom, living room, kitchen and garden!
We love this book! It’s so much fun to share and is colourful, funny and clever. My four year old is just starting to read and loved repeating ‘no’ and acting as the angry gnome. As you can see from the cover Gnome is very grumpy, preferring his own space and doesn’t tend to help other animals. Not even Mr Hedgehog who has an apple stuck on his spikes!
But then a wicked witch comes along and doesn’t take kindly to Gnome’s bad manners! So she turns him into a statue! My boys were equally shocked and amused at the ending and I love the way the witch doesn’t change him back for a typical happy ending! Children just love a grizzly ending!
