A fresh and funny look at eight classic morality tales that are known the world over. Written for a new generation the famous cautionary tales are given a lively contemporary feel and we think this book is just delightful. Aesops tales generally portray animals behaving as humans and have been passed down through the years.

We would highly recommend this beautiful collection of stories which includes The Tortoise and the Hare, The Boy Who Cried Wolf and The Town Mouse and the Country Mouse. Perfect for sharing, this brand new collection is written with rhyming text and is a pleasure to read aloud. We loved the eye catching illustrations as they are busy and vibrant. Before each story there are gorgeous rich end papers which give the book an extra special feel to them.

Elli Woollard has struck a measured balance between a story with a lesson to be learnt whilst also making the reader laugh along. Adorable animal illustrations created by Marta Altés are a joy to look at; we giggled at grumpy baboon when he fell in the trap and cheered tortoise on as he crossed the finish line- much to Hare’s dismay!
